Guided tours of Arbon’s historic district are starting up again

May 26, 2026 – Arbon looks back on an eventful history: from the first lake dwellers through the Roman era to the heyday of Swiss industrial history. The public tours of the old town invite visitors to experience the fascinating stories of this port city up close.

From June 16 to September 15, 2026, the public Old Town walking tours invite you to discover Arbon’s eventful history. Every Tuesday and Sunday, experienced tour guides lead visitors through the historic port town on Lake Constance, sharing fascinating stories from various eras.

The tours take participants on a journey from the Neolithic pile-dwelling culture through the Roman era to the significant industrial history associated with the Saurer family. Along the way, visitors will encounter impressive sites, historic buildings, and fascinating stories from both the past and the present.
