Wine trail Weinfelden
The Weinfelden Wine Trail is an 8.2 km route through the rolling vineyards around Weinfelden, Ottoberg, and Boltshausen, which can be comfortably hiked in around three hours. Along the way, magnificent views combine with fascinating insights into regional viticulture. The highlight of the hike are the two wine safes, where you can taste creative and delicious Thurgau wines: at the first, a hydraulic pump lifts the fine wines up from their cool depths, while at the second, the wine waits, well chilled, in a refrigerator in Boltshausen. The Barfuss Brewery in Bürglen is a special place for anyone who loves beer culture, atmosphere, and enjoyment. Handcrafted craft beers are served in the historic signal box, which is idyllically located directly on the Bürgler Canal and just a few steps away from the train station. In addition to on-site enjoyment, the brewery offers tours, tastings, company dinners, and regular events. It can also be rented as an event location for up to 90 people.
