Light, space and color - Würth Collection and loans
Light, space and color - these are themes that Hanspeter Münch has been exploring as a painter for more than fifty years. His paintings are colorful events that are second to none. His abstract visions, which nevertheless bring to life diverse, above all natural associations, are as intoxicating as they are constructed. The superimposition of countless layers of pigment creates an impressive depth that captivates the viewer. His approach of moving beyond realistic depictions of nature and light to an autonomous form of space and corporeality creates abstract color spaces of extraordinary intensity and an almost baroque spatial depth. The gestural brushwork also conveys a highly animated energy that flows through the compositions. On the occasion of his 85th birthday, Forum Würth Rorschach is honoring the artist with a foyer exhibition. On display are works from the Würth Collection as well as a selection of his most recent works, which come directly from the artist's studio.
