Matinée: Late Romantic masterpieces

Admission free - collection

End of the year with two late romantic masterpieces of Russian chamber music, a Christmas matinée full of passion.
A Christmas matinée full of passion awaits us at the end of the year with two late-romantic masterpieces of Russian chamber music. Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Trio élégiaque" fascinates with youthful melancholy and emotional intensity. In contrast, Tchaikovsky's monumental Piano Trio in A minor unfolds a wide spectrum of sounds and presents a variety of facets of European folk music in the variations from the Polish mazurka to Hungarian rhapsodies and the Viennese waltz. The musicians are Jonathan Floril on piano, Mateusz Szczepkowski on violin and Massimiliano Martinelli on cello. Museum open afterwards.
