During the summer vacations, i.e. in July and August, children up to the age of 15 travel free of charge on the boat between Arbon and Langenargen as part of the family promotion - regardless of whether they are traveling with parents, grandparents, godparents or other adults (except school classes). Accompanying persons simply buy their ticket directly on board. Valid for boarding in Arbon or Langenargen.
The connection offers ideal opportunities for a day or weekend excursion in both directions:
In Langenargen, families can look forward to the picturesque Montfort Castle, a spacious lido, a charming lakeside promenade and great playgrounds right on the lakeshore.
In Arbon, visitors can explore the historic old town, have a picnic by the lake or let off steam in the swimming pool with its 10-metre diving tower and slide. For even more adventure, a visit to the MoMö - Swiss Cider and Distillery Museum or an overnight stay at the Buchhorn campsite right by the water is well worthwhile.
