Adolf Dietrich House

Adolf Dietrich, one of the most important painters of the 20th century, lived in Berlingen. The house where he was born, worked and lived is open to the public.
The Thurgau artist was a leading exponent of naive painting. The quality of his painting lies on the one hand in his pronounced gift for observation and differentiation, and on the other in his intuitive sense of color. The old house where Adolf Dietrich was born, worked and lived is located in Berlingen and is open to interested visitors. The painter spent his entire life here. The painting room on the second floor was preserved after his death and an unfinished painting is still there. On the first floor there is documentation about the artist's life and work as well as a small museum store. The original paintings by Adolf Dietrich are on display in the Thurgau Art Museum at Ittingen Charterhouse in Warth.
