Ferry across the Sitter
The small Sitter ferry in Gertau is the only remaining ferry in the canton of Thurgau. The ferry dates back to the time of the pilgrims and can carry up to 12 people, depending on the water level.
The ferryman or ferrywoman takes passengers from Gertau to Degenau or vice versa.
The ferry operates from April through October.
