Ferry across the Sitter
The small Sitter ferry in Gertau is the only remaining ferry in the canton of Thurgau. The ferry dates back to the time of the pilgrims and can carry up to 12 people, depending on the water level.
The ferryman or ferrywoman is happy to take guests from the Gertau to the Degenau or vice versa.
The ferry operates from April 1 to October 31. From Monday to Friday by appointment and at weekends on the hour between 10 am and 6 pm. Larger groups are requested to book in advance.
