Sorntal Textile Museum
A former spinning mill building dating back to 1850 was renovated in 1994 and is now home to the Sorntal Textile Museum.
The replica museum factory is a showcase of technology and displays testimonies and historical textile machines from the industrial awakening on 1,000 square meters of exhibition space. A visit here becomes an experience of textile production.
All the machines are in working order. All the objects reveal a piece of factory life and provide an insight into the industrial and social history of the 19th and 20th centuries and the working world of the past.
Guided tours for groups of up to 40 people are possible.
