Working together for climate protection and sustainable development

Together with you and the climate protection organization "myclimate", Thurgau Tourism is committed to our climate and the sustainable development of tourism in the Thurgau region.

"Cause We Care"
Vacations in Thurgau also produce greenhouse gases that have a negative impact on the climate. Since spring 2023, a small climate contribution of 1.2 percent has therefore been levied on all services booked via our platform.
This contribution to "Cause We Care" has a twofold effect: on the one hand, it supports a myclimate climate protection project worldwide that promotes sustainable development where it is particularly needed. On the other hand, it contributes directly to responsible tourism in Thurgau .
And this is how it works
When you book an offer on our booking platform, you automatically make a small contribution of 1.2 % for sustainability and climate protection. We at Thurgau Tourism double this amount. Part of it goes to the climate protection organization myclimate, which uses it to support an international climate protection project. Three quarters of the amount goes into a "Cause We Care" fund. This fund is used to finance local sustainability and climate protection measures. Together, we achieve a double impact. Locally and globally for the sustainable enjoyment of our natural environment. Around the Bodensee CleanUp
Together, we want to keep our greatest tourist asset clean and ensure that you can continue to relax in the most beautiful natural surroundings on Lake Constance in the future.
In Thurgau , we support the Around the Bodensee CleanUp. Noemi Solombrino is extremely committed to environmental education in this project and has organized around 400 guided CleanUps with almost 10,000 participants since 2016, collecting almost 95,000 liters of garbage on the shores of Lake Constance.

Thurgau Tourism lends a hand
Thurgau Tourism not only supports the Around the Bodensee CleanUp financially, but also actively. Together with the team, we lent a hand in the Romanshorn Seepark in 2024 and 2025 and collected waste on the shore. We want to set an example: For us, a responsible approach to nature and the landscape is an integral part of sustainable tourism in Thurgau.
