Adolf Dietrich House – Art in Berlingen

The former home and studio of Thurgau painter Adolf Dietrich provides insight into the artist's life and work. In the original rooms, visitors encounter an important figure in Swiss naive art and discover works that are strongly influenced by the landscape around Berlingen and Lake Untersee. The lovingly designed garden surrounding the house picks up on motifs from his paintings and combines art and nature in a special way.

From Berlingen, URh excursion boats travel upstream towards Kreuzlingen and downstream to Schaffhausen. In addition, the Hörifähre ferry provides a direct connection to the German side of the lake, taking guests to Gaienhofen-Horn on the Höri peninsula. This makes the boat trip from Berlingen a varied day trip with impressive lakeside landscapes and sweeping views across the Untersee.

Hänne & Dänne – Art on Lake Untersee

Hänne & Dänne is an international art project in Berlingen, Gaienhofen, Hemmenhofen, and Steckborn. Sculptural and installation works are created specifically for the project and presented along public paths. The exhibition is open to the public from May 1 to September 27, 2026 , and connects the Swiss and German shores of the lake in a unique way.
