By boat to the apple village of Altnau

The apple village of Altnau is idyllically situated between meadow orchards and apple plantations, directly on Lake Constance. For generations, everything here has revolved around the red-cheeked fruit. The apple can be experienced on the Altnau Apple Trail. The themed trail with information boards and interactive stations leads right through the village and illustrates the local tradition wonderfully. Of course, a village like Altnau also deserves an honorable trademark. The Altnau footbridge, also known as the Stiel des Apfeldorfs, is 300 meters long and the longest footbridge on Lake Constance. You can jump into the water via a small platform attached to the jetty and sunbathe on the raft. Our tip: In the high season, the spa boat departs from Romanshorn to Altnau three times a day. The return journey can be made comfortably with the Thurbo regional train.
