The Wil 999 heart loop is a circular route covering around 94 kilometers, divided into two sections – the northern branch and the southern branch. The northern branch leads from the Zurich highlands to the apple trees of Thurgau, while the southern branch connects Tannzapfenland the Tösstal valley. The 43-kilometer stage leads from the old town of Wil, at an altitude of around 990 meters, through the green Tannzapfenland. One highlight is the imposing Fischingen Abbey in the Murg Valley, which is ideal for a break. The North Branch Stage
The 52-kilometer stage leads from Rikon, with an elevation gain of around 1,130 meters, back to the abbey town of Wil. The first highlight is the historic Gyrenbad inn, which invites you to relax and enjoy yourself on its sun terrace. The route passes Schauenberg and other vantage points. After a descent into the charming little town of Elgg, the journey continues on Thurgau roads, where typical apple trees and the Johanniterkomturei Tobel await. With impressive panoramic views from Lake Constance to Säntis, the stage finally returns to Wil.
