The route between Kreuzlingen and Romanshorn along the shores of Lake Constance truly evokes that vacation feeling. The route offers breathtaking views—a pure experience of nature. Along the way, you can enjoy the ever-changing lakeside landscape, which lines the lake with wild plants, trees, and shrubs, only to surprise you a little later with barren stretches of beach and secluded piers. The path also passes numerous beaches and romantic rest stops.
This route combines an easy path with a special destination. The trail from Nussbaumen to the Ittingen Charterhouse is flat and easy to navigate. The surroundings are quiet and uncluttered. You can explore safely and enjoy the natural scenery along the way.
Once you arrive at the Charterhouse, you’ll find accessible paths, open spaces, and plenty of places to relax.
Starting with a gentle climb over rolling hills and through fields, this route then takes you through the idyllic nature reserve featuring the Bommerweihern ponds. It is home to a variety of waterfowl and amphibians. A magnificent view of the Lake Constance region provides the perfect finale to the hike.
The loop trail in Romanshorn takes you through various sections—from the harbor to green paths along the lake. The trail is well-maintained and has no significant inclines.
