Every year it is just around the corner: the contemplative season of Advent. The smell of mulled wine wafts through the streets and baking biscuits is on the agenda. The atmospheric pre-Christmas period with the many fairy lights adorning the streets and houses really gets you looking forward to Christmas. Here are a few ideas for more Christmas magic during the Advent season.

Fine, festive and imperial - this is how Arenenberg presents itself during Advent. Arenenberg Castle with the Napoleon Museum shines in festive splendor. On the Advent Sundays on December 7, 14 and 21, 2025, atmospheric experiences await you: the popular Arenenberg Advent brunch, wine tastings as well as culinary and musical delicacies. The Napoleon Museum awaits you in festive decorations, and a magical nativity scene lends it a touch of Christmas magic. By prior arrangement, children can dress up in historical costumes and experience Napoleon's history up close. A short concert in the castle chapel is also planned.
Warming drinks and a lovely atmosphere await you in the winter forest at the Krone am See in Altnau. The mulled wine hut is open from November 14, 2025, from Friday to Monday, from 11.30 am to 10 pm. Come by and immerse yourself in the romantic winter landscape right by the lake.
We go on an Advent walk through Frauenfeld's Christmas-lit city center. The Christmas star Stella appears to visitors again and again. It tells the story of what is said to have happened around Bethlehem.
The magical harbor Christmas in Lindau is something special. The Thurbo regional train takes you directly to the island in just 55 minutes from Romanshorn and 35 minutes from Rorschach. If you prefer the sea route, you can take the boat from Rorschach to the romantic harbor Christmas every Saturday and Sunday in December and enjoy the wintry atmosphere on Lake Constance.
Clear the ring from November 27 to December 31, 2025, when Zirkus Stey presents the Christmas Circus at the Murg-Auen-Park in Frauenfeld. Two hours of excitement and entertainment will fly by with acrobatics, funny clowns and wonderful singing. Experience unforgettable moments under the sparkling circus tent!
Watch out for black ice! From November 21 to January 4, the market square in Amriswil is once again the place to be for skating on the ice. Whether skating, curling or watching the colorful goings-on - the fun factor at Amriswil on Ice is huge.
